Who we are

Yondr is a developer, owner and operator of hyperscale data centers. We deliver critical digital infrastructure that supports the technology and online services used by businesses and communities every day.
We currently have two operational data centers, and are developing a third on Allegro Lane, near Northstar Boulevard.
The project is being delivered in phases and has received extensive local, state, and federal review, oversight and approval.
We are committed to keeping nearby residents informed on all activities and to minimizing disruption wherever possible.

How we operate

Cooling

Our project uses a closed loop cooling design which ensures minimal reliance on local water supplies, and will not result in water shortages for local households. The cooling system uses water that is filled once and then reused for several years, rather than being constantly replaced, which uses far less water than traditional evaporative cooling.

Power

Our data centers are served through dedicated power connections, separate from residential supply, and their operations does not affect the reliability of electricity service to nearby homes.

Backup generators

Backup generators play an essential role in the safety and resilience of data centres and are used only during emergencies or power outages to help maintain continuity of service. Regular testing is critical to ensure these systems will operate as intended whenever they are needed.

Generator testing is also an operational and regulatory requirement. We recognize that testing can create some noise, which is why we work to keep tests as short and infrequent as possible, with routine monthly testing typically lasting 60 minutes or less.

Traffic management

Construction activity can temporarily increase vehicle movements in the area, including contractor traffic and deliveries. As part of the project planning process, our contractor has implemented traffic management measures designed to help minimize disruption for nearby residents and reduce unnecessary impact on local roads. This includes the use of dedicated temporary access routes to help manage construction traffic safely and efficiently throughout the development process.

Community initiatives

You know your community better than anyone.

The partnerships we’ve developed to date have emerged directly from the community needs assessment we completed in March 2026. If you have ideas for how we can further support the Loudoun community, please reach out. We’d welcome the opportunity to listen, learn more, and explore them with you.

Sponsoring the Lightridge Band Boosters

Yondr is proud to support Lightridge High School’s marching band as they represent their community at the 2026 New Year’s Parade in London.

Mobile Hope Grants

We’ve partnered with Mobile Hope over the next three years to provide grants for at-risk young people in the local community. Funding will be tailored to individual needs, from accommodation and training costs to practical support that helps young people take the next step in education and employment.

Loudoun Wildlife Partnership

We’re working with Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy on funding three initiatives

  1. Salt watch – helping to educate local businesses on responsible salting practices to protect Loudoun waterways and biodiversity
  2. Nature based learning programs
  3. Walk for Wildlife 2026, taking place throughout the month of October

Hiring locally

We are committed to hiring locally wherever possible, connecting local residents with highly skilled roles and rewarding career opportunities in design & construction, site operations and facilities management.

Volunteering

Our team volunteers annually as part of Yondr Serve, for the past 4 years our team have volunteered to help harvest produce to be donated to local food banks. We have an unlimited volunteering policy at Yondr, allowing our team to support the community regularly.
